So it is perfectly safe when used in small amounts in a personal care formula.
Caprylyl Glycol functions as a hair conditioning agent and a skin-conditioning agent. And it has antimicrobial properties that can act as part of a preservative. When used as a preservative or part of a preservative, it makes for a great paraben alternative.
